Fendi Shoes

Fendi Shoes is part of the Fendi company, which is a prominent Italian fashion designer brand and makes shoes, apparel, handbags, luggage, wallets and many other fashionable products. Fendi Shoes' parent company Fendi was first founded in 1918 when Adele Casagrande opened a leather and fur shop in central Rome. He latter married Edoardo Fendi, whom the company is named after, and had five daughters – all of whom went to work for the company. In 1965 a marriage between the Fendi family and Lagerfield family, another famous designer, led to further success. Soon the famous Fendi logo was created and Fendi's fur business was set in stone. Today, Fendi shoes are represented at mostly high-end department stores all over the world. It is owned and operated by LVMH, with Karl Lagerfield still directing the company.

Types Of Fendi Shoes

What are some popular styles of Fendi shoes? For Fendi flats there is the Zucca B. buckle flats design, in tobacco color. These shoes have Zucca jacquard canvas and textured leather trim with a B buckle along the vamp and leather lining/sole. For Fendi sneakers there is the Zucca gold leather sneakers line, which is in tobacco color and gold, with gold leather cap toe and trim on the heel, lace up and leather tape strap over the vamp. The sole is rubber like you would expect from a sneaker but there is also an embossed Medusa logo on the side. For Fendi boots, try Fendi's cognac colored leather cowboy boots, which feature pebbled leather, braided trim on the shaft, a leather strap that stretches across the heel with a silvertone logo buckle and leather lining. Fendi snow boots are made of leather and built for snow, whether your plans include skiing or casual cold nights. Fendi snow boots feature a zig zag stitched logo on the outside of each boot. Lining may be leather or fur.

Authentic Fendi Shoes?

What does it mean when a company advertises “authentic Fendi?” Like many other brands that are so popular that have achieved a status symbol recognition, Fendi is frequently counterfeited by other companies. Fake Fendi merchandise, whether that be bags or impostor Fendi shoes, are often sold in small stores, perhaps even flea markets or Internet auction sites. Obviously at a low-end retail area (or virtual area) the authenticity of the Fendi product is not very important to the owner who just wants to move merchandise. Recently, Wal-Mart was accused of selling fake Fendi products in its Sam's Club stores by the Fendi company. The lawsuit is still pending. Remember that fake Fendi products usually have glued-on lining and labels (not stitched), have questionable quality in the material and may often reveal themselves on the “Made In” tag.

Fendi shoes are among the most desirable footwear in the world with quality merchandise that meets a designer's approval.
